Tata Sierra 2025 – My Review
By: Utkarsh Pandey
Hello everyone, today I visited BR Tata Motors (BR Autoventure) at Crescent Mall. The aim was to explore the newly launched Tata Sierra and understand its real-world appeal in the compact–mid size SUV segment.
Segment & Dimensions
Tata Sierra sits in the compact / mid-size SUV (small family SUV) segment. It follows a 5-door, 5-seater layout with a high driving position and rugged yet modern styling.
- Length: 4340 mm
- Width: 1841 mm
- Height: 1715 mm
- Wheelbase: 2730 mm
Despite competing with vehicles like the Creta or Alcazar on paper, the Sierra feels noticeably different. The cabin feels airy, wide, and confidence-inspiring, rather than just another familiar SUV layout.
Sunroof & Cabin Ambience
The Sierra offers the largest sunroof in its segment. Although the display vehicle had a low battery and couldn’t demonstrate it fully, the openness it adds to the cabin is impressive and genuinely premium for this price range.
The engine bay is spacious even with a 1.5-litre petrol/diesel engine. The engine itself occupies limited space, leaving enough room for safety components and crumple zones. The clamshell hood design, inspired by Land Rover platforms, enhances both safety and aesthetics.
Engine refinement is excellent, with minimal noise and vibration. Tata has clearly worked hard on improving overall NVH levels.

Rear Design & Exterior Detailing
The piano-black cladding looks premium but raises practical concerns, as scratches become easily visible. At the rear, the Sierra benefits from its mid-size proportions, featuring a well-rounded design rather than a sharp cut-off.
The connected LED tail lamps give the SUV a wide and premium stance, especially noticeable at night.
Boot Space & Practicality
The Sierra offers a 622-litre boot along with a push-button electronic tailgate. For pet parents and long trips, this space plays a crucial role and feels genuinely usable.
Second Row Comfort
The second row is where the Sierra truly shines. It feels spacious with generous legroom and headroom, further enhanced by the large sunroof. Rear passengers get dedicated AC vents along with USB charging support, making long journeys comfortable and practical.
Front Cabin & Technology
Up front, the Sierra features a wide three-screen setup, digital instrument cluster, infotainment screen, and a co-passenger display.
The illuminated Tata logo on the steering, electronic IRVM, push start/stop, and ADAS controls add to the premium feel.
Conclusion
The Tata Sierra 2025 is not just another compact SUV. It offers space, refinement, thoughtful design, and a unique character that clearly sets it apart. For families, pet parents, and buyers seeking something fresh yet practical, the Sierra makes a strong and confident case.
