CBSE Regional Science Exhibition 2019

 CBSE Regional Science Exhibition 2019

By: Utkarsh

Hello everyone, today I will be sharing my expression and views on recently held “CBSE REGIONAL SCIENCE EXHIBITION 2019” in DPS Eldeco, Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh.

Though I was interested at the time of participation but my self – confidence had dived into the deepness of the dark ocean due to some of the unavoidable reasons or incident but I received the potential from my class teacher to come on the surface, float, sail through the ocean and take the view of wide landscape of the beautiful ocean through the ship named, BRAIN. I would like to thank her for putting life in the dead confidence level.

The theme of the exhibition was “Science and Technology and Sustainable Development with Thrust on Water Conservation” with many sub-themes like Sustainable Agricultural Practices, Cleanliness and Health, Resource management, Industrial Development, Future Transport and Communication, Educational Games and Mathematical Modelling, Others.

Automated Irrigation System with WiFi
I participated in it with my working model, Automated Irrigation System under the sub – theme of Sustainable Agricultural Practices. It was based on the combination of C and C++ programming with nested and conditional loops embedded by me in it to make it work accordingly. I had also made it wireless accessible for accessing it from anywhere and with any device. To know more about my project, visit: http://www.ulscs.blogspot.com

Regional level exhibition was held for two days, i.e., 3rd and 4th of December, 2019. I don’t know exact number of schools present there, but it seems to be approximately seventy to eighty schools had participated in the competition.

On the morning of 3rd December, when I had setup my working model to be represented in front of the curious explorers, I was myself more curious about what and how others’ had created. For this reason, I was carrying my ‘cyber shot’ but still I did not viewed all the exhibits, however, I would like to show you and explain you a bit of whatever I saw there.

Mentor, Deepak and Abhay
So, first of all, let me start from the project on "Indigenous Air Cooling System" which was made by the two laborious  students namely, Deepak and Abhay from Vidyagyan School, Sitapur. As they are from rural background, they thought of making this project which was based on Joule-Thomson effect of air cooling.

They were first to meet and interact with me at the venue. Both of them are not just a very good orator but also have

attracting personality, which helped me to form an ionic bond of friendship with them. Their friendship also helped me to remove the boredom , which was created on that day for either some minutes or for some seconds. They also provided me many ideas to be worked upon and thus exchange of skills took place. I would like to heartily thanks to both of them.

Let's move to second model, which was towards my left. It was a model on Waste Water Management under the

theme of 'Industrial Development'. They also shared a video on facebook, which I would like to link here.
https://www.facebook.com/raghav.agnihotri.547389/videos/155907199107533/  Their model was static but well represented before the judges and others, also their hard work and colors added too it was one of the reasons for the attraction of many viewers.

Automated Irrigation System
Next comes similar model with better presentation but non-wireless control of a student from Suditi Global Academy, Etawah. This student had also designed his working model on Automatic Irrigation System under 'Sustainable Agricultural Practices' on bread board and using atmel/atmega kind of micro controller or I don't know properly but as it occupied a proper space and have mass in his presentation, it was looking much better than mine.

Mission Protector
On fourth, I would like to present "Mission Protector" created by the second pair of students from the Vidyagyan School. It was also microprocessor based project. It was designed for
automobiles. It was like, whenever, there would be excess amount of Carbon present inside the vehicle, the window glasses would automatically opens. It was designed to safeguard children from dying when locked inside the vehicle.

APS Academy, Lucknow
On fifth, I would like to present next project on 'Water Conservation' which was well designed and occupies larger space in the exhibition. This was also a static model prepared by the students of 'APS Academy, Lucknow'. The presentation was made to show that how we can add his innovative idea in the basement of apartments and use his method for reusing the water, which is being wasted unintentionally.

Magnetic Induction Train
On sixth, I would like to present "Magnetic Induction Train" presented by a team of two students from 'St. Xaviers High School, Fatehpur'. They had created it on the principle of magnetic induction and had presented their model as the presentation as well. The blue color, with which it was created or say covered was really attractive for the interested peoples.

On seventh, this model is based on "Future Security System" presented by two students from 'Chinmay Vidyalaya'. Though there model seems to be attractive and was made also but their way of presentation was actually not supposed by me. Though I understand it could be their way but it could be presented in more proper way instead of using mixture in the language. This system was completely
different from it's title, it was instead speed limiter instead as they explained.

As what I understands, the breakers were designed in such a way that if any vehicle passes through it in high speed, it would send a message to the police. The wired spread in the perimeter was like if anyone tries to go over it, buzzer system would switch on and notify the property owner. I think, currently I am unable to explain due to conceptual mixture.

There were many models and exhibits left unexplored by me, which were really interesting and ignited the excitement inside me to know more about them but due to some of the unknown reasons, I could not visit to every stall present there. However, some of the projects/exhibits were captured by my camera, which I would like to attach on my page.

One of such exhibit, captured by my camera was "Gas Stove with Passcode Feature" which was again based on arduino microprocessor. I was just trying to know about what's the
project all about and also don't want to leave my place, when I captured about this.

Later I found, that this project was partially taken from the internet, I can say so because, the image on the chart and on the website are completely similar.

It always makes you happy to see the new innovations and inventions of Science to make our life easier but we are also responsible for using it with responsibility and making it a boon rather than curse.

Thank you
Feeling happy after sharing

Force, Friction and Fusion

Force, Friction and Fusion By: Utkarsh Hello everyone, well it’s been a long time since my last post. Yes, I wasn’t getting enough time to express my creativity of writing out for myself, I was engaged in various time taking activities which were also latent and away from exposed clicks. Yesterday while having a conversation with one of my college’s friends, I explained them the relation of my favorite subject and favorite person from which the title of this blog is derived. Also, there are both direct and indirect meanings of title exists as there is a word that is also part of TFC. Everyone here has been with basic Physics, where they might have learnt that Force is a physical quantity that describes the interaction between two objects, which can cause a change in motion, shape or state of rest of an object, which is expressed as F = ma and it’s SI unit is Newton. Well, we are not here to study Physics 😂 but yes, we will be relating it with the incidences as it best descr...

Industrial Visit to Power Grid Corporation of India

Industrial Visit to Power Grid   Corporation of   India  (400/220kV Station) By: Utkarsh Hello everyone, today I will be sharing my experience as Industrial visit to PGCIL, Kursi road, Barabanki, Lucknow.   Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (POWERGRID) or PGCIL is schedule ‘A’, ‘Maharatna’ Public Sector Enterprise of Govt. of India which was incorporated on October 23, 1989 under the company act of 1956. I along with thirty others combined from first, second and third year of different branches who are volunteers in Tech Fusion Club at Shri Ramswaroop Memorial University, Barabanki, Lucknow visited there along with our favourite mentor Er. Abhishek Kumar Saxena sir, Assistant Professor, Department of Electrical Communication Engineering.  Though we were give home-work of finding and exploring what are PSUs, Navaratna and Maharatna companies but I guess no one showed interest in exploring about it seriously and thus many were blank when the...
